Elisa Gómez Alvarez
works interdisciplinary as a director and photographer in the fields of film, media arts and performing arts. Currently she works and lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, attending the MA in Cinema (Directing) at ECAL Lausanne and HEAD Genèva.
As a video artist she has been involved in different German theatre and opera productions at Theater Bremen (2017, 2018), Schauspiel Frankfurt, Staatstheater Stuttgart (2016) and Ballhaus Naunynstraße Berlin (2015). In 2017 she graduated at University of Arts Berlin, attending studio classes supervised by Ai Weiwei, Anna Anders, Niklas Goldbach and Maria Vedder. She was selected for a sholarship to study abroad in Bristol, University of the West of England in 2016. Her short film "Me, Myself and I" was premiered in Paris and Berlin at Rencontres International 2015. Elisa Gómez Alvarez is a fellowship holder of Germany‘s most important foundation "Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes".
In her body of work she researches about role models and role play in society investigating how the sovereignty of the physical body is related to the surrounding other.
